Luxury of Meeting Someone You'll Never See Again

There is a powerful and liberating feeling when you meet a person you’re almost certain you will never meet again.
I once had the privilege to board a cruise ship that would travel to various places around the world. I spent a lot of time eating the different foods, swimming in the on deck pool, and enjoying the sweet sensation of the piano and other musical instruments. At times, I would go and listen to comedians (age appropriate of course) and watch ice sculptors practice their profession. In short, it was a grand ole time. While aboard this ship, I met a person whom I would never speak to again. Her name was Viava. She was beautiful. She could sing. She could dance. I spent much of my time with this individual. We would go and play games all around the ship and at times we would pull jokes on each other and laugh. She made me feel welcome, and I hope I did the same for her. With this girl, I was able to express my feelings about life, be who I wanted to be, say what I wanted to say. I felt absolutely free. I could express my desire to love, to find, to teach, to build, and to work.

An unrelated painting, but still beautiful. Sometimes I wish I had recieved this individuals phone number or email. But sometimes I feel like it would be better if she remembered me how I was, and that I remembered her how she was. And to just leave it at that. I like people I will never meet again. There are just something’s that are too personal and too eating to share with someone you will see the next day. Strangers have been some of the most special people in my life. I hope in the future, that I might have the opportunity to meet people I will never meet again.
