Mercury; Seen Today Like Never Before.

Following Daniel C Peterson’s blog, I found this interesting article.

http://www.nature.com/news/mercury-seen-as-never-before-1.17088 There is a never ending progression of technological advancements taking place in the modern world. When I was attending the East Valley Astronomy Club in Gilbert, Arizona, I could recall looking at small dots in the sky as astronomers would explain to me what they were. Meanwhile, people were developing high powered reflecting telescopes to produce images such as this.

NASA's MESSENGER, is set out for doom. But it has sent back some pretty astonoshing photographs, the best ever taken, of Mercury.
